I received a call from Shane the restaurant manager as we were still waiting for the bus,
“Good Morning Sir,” I greet him as I quickly pick up the phone
“Morning Miss brooks, I understand you are not at the training today” He answers on the other side of the phone
“Yes, sir that is correct” I Reply
“Then you must understand that we can not pay you for the days you will not be there,” He says
“Sir, I can come and work at the restaurant till when everything is back to normal at the hotel” I pleaded with him
“Am sorry but that’s not possible with all news going on about your relationship it might just inconvenience with your work. I will let you know the way forward” he said and the line went dead without saying bye.
