Chapter 5
Wade restrained himself and only circled the ranch yard and the small horse pasture with Darnell in tow. He could hardly stop grinning, anyway. This was a victory and a big step forward with his plan.
It had been a very long time since he had even considered seducing anybody—not since back in high school in the small Kansas town where he grew up, when he had burned for Becky Lee Bonham. She was rumored to be fast and easy, but he never found that to be the case. It seemed ludicrous now.
That felt like another lifetime. The tricks he’d employed then were not likely to work on Darnell Davis. In fact, the whole notion of seducing another man almost stopped him in his tracks.
