Chapter 3 About a month later When Wade came in from the early morning feeding, savory smells filled the kitchen. As soon as he washed up, breakfast appeared on the dining table, almost as if by magic. There were tall, fluffy biscuits, crisp bacon, scrambled eggs, milk for the kids, and fresh brewed coffee in his favorite cup. After Wade filled his plate, Darnell took Winnie’s and put smaller portions on it, and watched while Ben served himself.
