Chapter 17Wesley placed the gourmet ice cream in the cooler sitting on the passenger seat. Bumblebee Sweets & Treats was a local bakery and ice cream maker, and one of Calleigh’s favorites. They derived their name, and grew quite popular, from their use of honey collected from hives they kept on the bakery property. One wall of the bakery, in fact, was Plexiglas allowing visitors to see inside one of their active hives. Indulging in a bowl of honey and berries ice cream, usually with a banana strawberry smoothie on the side, while watching the bees was a typical way for Calleigh to spend her summer days.
He got a gallon of Calleigh’s fave as well as a chocolate with honey swirl gallon and some of the peach honey drizzled cheesecake bites, ground up honeycomb in the crust.
