Chapter 9Cracks ran jagged lines across his face, creating a distorted image befitting a horror movie. Mold spotted the glass adding to his monstrous reflection. The mirror hung over a sink with stains of unknown origins and rust around the faucet. The bathroom was smaller than others he’d come across, lacking the usual curtained shower or tub. That, combined with the presence of the mirror, left him to suspect the space was meant for staff instead of patients. Tucked away by a narrow staircase to the second floor, he wandered in for a quick peak.
