I returned to my room after Vin left abruptly upon receiving an urgent call. He didn't provide much information, only mentioning that it was work-related. Quietly, I descended to my room, not feeling like talking to anyone after learning that Ric had witnessed what happened between Vin and me on the terrace. I felt so embarrassed imagining what he might be thinking.
