My wide, nervous eyes met his hungry gaze, and panicking, I pushed him away. But he didn't budge. Instead, he pulled me closer, causing me to gasp aloud.
"You're so shameless!" I exclaimed.
"Oh yeah? Tell me about it," he whispered, his tone serious as he squinted his eyes at me.
"L-let me go, Vin," I stuttered.
His proximity was so overwhelming, I couldn't even think straight. I feared what if my resolution weakened against my feelings?!
No! Before I gave in to his inappropriate demand, I tried to break free from his arms around me.
"Not until you pay for slapping me," he demanded bluntly. "Kiss me."
"I'm a married woman," I glared.
"I don't care," he replied, arching one of his thick, dark eyebrows.
