I would never be able to stand hurting Samantha no matter what had ever happened between us in the past. She was still my first love and nothing was going to change that.
After I had left that summer I discovered that she definitely had to move on with her life. I returned to school and was so engulfed with my studies that I had no time for relationships with women even though they threw themselves at me.
