KILLER WITHIN EPISODE ELEVEN

Banda's phone dropped but he didn't even struggle to get it and its only then he realized that the lady Angela was describing was indeed Lexi.

Banda: what are you doing with the knife?

He asked attempting to get up but Lexi pulled the knife off the table and pushed him back on the seat. He tried to use his manly power on her but the strength in Lexi was undescribable. He sat back without moving a muscle not really sure of what she would really do with the knife in her hand.

Lexi: you are asking me what I want?

She stopped going around him and leaned on the table with the knife in her hand looking at it and smiling to herself. Banda didn't know what was going on with Lexi and no one had briefed him, then again he couldn't attack her because he needed to understand her reason for coming to him with a knife in the first place if we do not mention that he was even afraid of her.

Lexi: poor Daddy, you are asking alot of questions that I'm not interested in answering. I want to know one thing though.

She said drawing a line with the knife on his chest.

Lexi: why did you leave me to die?

She went round him then came face to face with him.

Banda: I had to leave Lexi, your mother and I had an agreement.

Lexi: an agreement to leave a sick child with a heart disease to fight for her life. No money, no food and what were you chasing after?

Banda: this is not a conversation I want to have with you.

Banda held the table and tried to get up but Lexi quickly chopped off one of his fingers and Banda shouted in pain as Lexi stood there staring at him waiting for his next move. He really thought she wouldn't do it or he just underestimated her capabilities.

Banda held in to his hand and groaned in pain as Lexi held the knife even closer to his his face. She had threatened to do even worse if he made noise to alert anyone of what was going on.

Lexi: how was that daddy dearest?

He didn't answer but his secretary came barging in after thinking she heard something and Lexi turned to look at her.

Banda: call the police!

He managed to shout amidst his graon and

the secretary tried to run but Lexi caught up with her before she got far then dragged her back with her hair. She tried to put up a fight but Lexi was too strong for her that all she needed to do was oblige.

Banda's office was on the sixth floor of the building and it was just him and his secretary on that floor so no one else could be aware of what was really going on because all communication was done by phone call to the different departments.

Lexi: where do you think you are going?

She asked dragging her toward the table just next to her father and when she realized she could not beat Lexi, she surrendered and let her have her way..

The secretary was slender and Lexi had some devilish power in her that made her stronger than three or more men combined and she also became way too bold than she ever was as her normal self. The visions from Thomas was only based on the people who conspired to kill him but the urge to kill extended to the people who had wronged Lexi before and it didn't matter what they did, she just wanted to kill them and no one understood why.

She pushed the secretary on one of the seats and put the knife to her neck pressing it just a little bit harder and her plea to let her go fell on deaf years. With Lexi, the more you asked her to stop was like inviting her to do even worse.

Lexi: do you love your life?

The secretary nodded in fear probably trying to figure out who Lexi was and why she had chopped off her boss's finger because no one had seen her around before.

Lexi took the black tape from the table and taped the secretary to the seat knowing if she let her go, she would alert everyone else on what was going on in her father's office and that would interfere with her plans..

Lexi: where should I chop next?

She asked walking back and looking at him from the head then she grabbed the ear and leaned in to him...

Lexi: maybe I should just destroy your face so that no woman would ever have to look at you again, a woman is the sole cause of all these you know..

Banda shook his head still in pain and he could not imagine his ear being cut off. The Lexi he was talking to was nothing like his daughter and he could swear that she was just a witch sent to destroy his life.

Banda: why are you doing this?

He managed to raise his voice and ask and the manly command in his voice made Lexi grab him by his tie and pull him closer to her..

Lexi: you still don't know?

She asked putting the knife under his chin and pushing it in until he started to bleed

Lexi: you robbed me the chance to grow up with a father, and mum.

She paused for a second then let him go.

Lexi: di you know what she did eith her life after you left her, She had to jump from bed to bed with other men just to make sure I had something to eat but do I blame her?

She paced in the room tapping the knife in her hand...

Lexi: You left us and you never looked back.

I grew up knowing I did not have a father and do you know the worst part of it,.. I was sickly and I would be admitted to hospital week after week, mum had no job but she had to stay with me in the hospital with nothing to eat but hopeful thst I would get out of the hospital alive and did you even care to check on the sick baby you left behind?

Banda: I am sorry but I needed to find a way to make ends meet. I could not have done much if i sat at home waiting for you to get better Lexi, I just wanted to give you a better life.

Lexi: by running off with a white woman?

Banda: she had money,.... money and properties she wanted me to help her manage because she was old and she felt like she needed to entrust her wealth with someone.

Lexi: she didn't have children?

Banda: she had one but he died in the US army.. the rest are the ones I had with her.

Lexi: and what are you doing here?

Banda was silent. He probably did not know what would sound right and he did nit want to say something that would cause him another finger.

Lexi: I said what are you doing back here?

Banda: I'm here because I missed home, I wanted to come and see you since i heard you got a heart transplant. who do you think paid your hospital bills?

She walked back to him and leaned in towards him still holding on to the knife.

Lexi: let me guess,...mmmh! you?

She asked pointing st him then she burst out in a laughter. The secretary was all confused but she couldn't say anything with the tape on her mouth so all she did was watch with tears freely flowing from her eyes. She was aftraid of Lexi and she had all the reasons to be..

Banda: I did because I'm still your father and i might not have been in your life but i love you.

Lexi burst out in a laughter again.

Lexi: (to the secretary) did you hear that? The secretary didn't respond.

Lexi went to her and pulled the tape off her mouth.

Lexi: I forgot you can't talk. Can you clap for my father.

She teased and cut off the tape.

Lexi: i said clap for my father for he is indeed a rib cracker or didnt you hear how funny the joke was?..

The secretary started to clap and when Lexi turned to her father to mock him even more the lady jumped on her and hit her from behind with all the strength she had in her and Lexi fell but before the secretary could run out, Lexi swept her foot off the floor and she went crashing down and screamed but not loud enough to be heard. Lexi quickly got up, got on top of the secretary then stubbed her seveal times before she got up with the knife in her hand and turned to her dad who didnt hurry to get off the chair and run off because he saw just how swift she had been with the secretary. He moved his chair back in shock when he saw the blood oozing from her body..

Lexi: what, are you scared. You were not man enough when you left us and your certainly arent one right now. If she dies, its on you and let me tell you something, I will make your life hell just like you made mine.. i will make you regret leaving us and you will pay for the pain you caused me and my mother daddy dearest.

Banda saw just how heartless Lexi was when she stubbed his secretary without thinkinh twice and there was ni remorse in her. He could not stand the words Lexi was telling him so he slowly pulled the drawer to his desk without Lexi seeing and grabbed a pair of scisors ready to attack her but his plan didnt push through because a call went through his phone and that attracted Lexi's attention back to him..

Lexi: who is calling?

She asked going towards him so he let go of the scissors and Lexi took the phone, checked the screen and threw the phone down then stepped on it.

Banda: what did you do that for?

Lexi: the call was not important, talking to me is...see, you went to make money right, you made money i never enjoyed when i was supposed to but you know what, i will enjoy every bit if it now..

She smiled and leaned on the the table as she talked to him..

Banda: what do you want?

Lexi: let me see,...mmmh! 20 million in my acount in 24 hours. You fail to do that, count yourself dead.

Banda: 24 what, are you sick in the head?

Lexi: one of us is but we will find out who in twenty four hours.

She smiled then wiped the bloody knife on his shirt, put the knife in her purse then walked out as if she had not done anything wrong.

She had not gotten far when she heard her father shouting for help and before anyone could realize what was going on, she got in the elevator and made an exit on the ground floor. When she got to the ground floor, the security had seen Banda run out so they attempted to stop her but she beat then up and left them rolling in the floor..

The doctor who was working on Martin came out and Stella couldn't wait for him to reach them. She got up from where she was seated with Remi and hurried towards the doctor. They had been waiting for hours and when the doctor finally came out, they hoped for good news from him though from the look on his face, it didn't feel like things were okay. They were scared of what the doctor would say but they had to hear it anyway..

Stella: doctor, how is my brother?

She asked nervously as Remi joined her and took her hand in hers.

Doctor: well we have manage to stabilize him. The cut was deep and pulling the knife off him was a wrong move. He will live but right now his condition is not so good. You should thank God he did not slip into a comma.

Remi took a deep breath and Stella put her hands together to thank God. If Martin had made it through,it was indeed a miracle. They hugged each other after hearing the good news then they turned to him.

Stella: thank you doctor. Thank you for saving my brother's life..

Remi: can we see him?

Doctor: I would not recommend that at the moment for It has been long hours in surgery and he needs to rest but because you are eager to see if he is okay, You can see him but don't wake him up and it should be only for a few minutes..

Remi: thank you.

The doctor left and they made their way towards the ward....

George made a few calls after Lexi had left and asked his friend max who was somewhat a private investigator to investigate on Lexi. He needed to know who she was without making her suspecious.

Max: what exactly do you want me to dig on her?

George: find out who she is, how she is related to Thomas. Where she works, who she associates with. I want to know everything. Every damn details about her.

Max: that I can do but how much are we talking about my friend, these jobs are a bit risky..

George got up and walked to the window with one hand in his pocket.

George: you are my guy. We can meet and talk about the pay, you know I have no problem with paying for a job well done..

Max: you have a photo of the lady?

George: yes. I am sending it on w******p.

He ended the call then put the phone in his pocket and held the table with both hands and took a deep breath.

He then got his coat from the chair and walked out of the office asking his P.A to cancel all the meetings for the day.

George called vera while in his car and after it rang a few times she eventually picked.

Vera: George..

George: where are you?

Vera: in my office.

George: the Lexi woman visited.

Vera: and?

George: she is hiding something. We need to find out what it is.

Vera: I thought you already did.

George: no. She is smart. Way smarter than i thought.

Vera: not as you are. You know how to handle such issues then again we also have a problem with Lawrence's fiance.

George: what about her?

Vera: she left with the safe. We need to get it back. Laura knows all our secrets and we should get rid of her before she blows our cover. The lesser the people who know this the better.

George: the safe, what's in that safe. Lawrence never handled anything to do with the virus.

Vera: you can't trust that. Thompson called him alot of times and they would talk behind closed doors.

George: you think that means something?

Vera: why did she disappear with the safe if it doesn't?

George: Laura doesn't seem like the kind who knows anything and I don't think she is a threat. Lexi is.

Vera: I will look into it. I can't leave anything to chance. The people who end up looking like they know nothing always ends up knowing alot.

George: okay. Let me know when you get a hold of her.

He hanged up then drove off.

Remi and Stella saw Martin then when they left the ward Stella made a suggestion to Remi that she calls Lexi and ask her to go to the hospital because martin was dead. She needed to find a way to lure her in for an arrest..

Stella: dead, no. We can't say that.

Remi: it's the only way to get her here. Telling her Martin is in bad condition wouldn't move her enough. That b***h is so cold hearted

Stella: she drove a knife inside him. What makes you think she cares about his condition, she left him for death.

They were silent for a while and even before they could think of their next move, Remi got a call being told that there was a murder case in some office uptown.

Stella: let me guess. You are needed at work?

Remi: yeah. There has been a killing in some office

Stella: what happened?

Remi: I don't have all the details. Stella, i need to arrest that woman and you have to help me. Think about it, its the only way we will be sure that she will not hurt him or any other person again.

Remi hugger her and she left Stella in the hospital looking after martin..

Lexi found herself in Martin's house and even seeing his blood on his floor didn't move her. She didn't even care to call and ask him where he was assuming he didn't die. She instead walked to the kitchen, git herself some yoghurt but she barely settled in when the guard at the gate came and knocked on her door and a few seconds later she opened and looked at the guard like she had never seen him before.

Lexi: what!

Guard: Lexi right?

Lexi: yes?

Guard: madam, a woman called Stella told me to tell you to vacate her brother's house and if you refuse we should call the cops on you.

Lexi pretended to be surprised and the guard had a phone in his hand ready to call the cops.

Lexi: oh come on, that won't be necessary. Who was she with?

Guard: alone. She claimed you stubbed her brother.

Lexi: me?

The guard nodded.

Lexi: why would I stub my fiance?

The guard shrugged his shoulder.

Guard: madam, please leave. I don't want to loose my job.

Lexi: okay. I'm going. How is her brother again, did he die?

Guard: I don't know but he was in critical condition when he was carried out.

Lexi: okay.

She stood there waiting for him to walk away then she got in, picked her purse and walked out of the house. She got to the gate and flagged down a cab that she gave the address to Stella's house, what right did she have throwing her out of her brother's house she thought as she made sure that her knife was intact.

The driver kept staring at her through the rare view mirror and he could tell that something was bothering her as she kept talking to herself in low tones.

Driver: madam,are you okay?

She looked up at him and didn't bother to respond. Lexi was so beautiful and no man would fail to notice her leave alone offering to solve her problems.

After driving for a few minutes, the driver came to a T-junction and Lexi told him which direction to take and he kept stealing glances at her..

Lexi: stop there!

Driver: here?

Lexi: yes. There. How much?

Driver: eight hundred shillings.

She paid without bargaining and got out then walked the path to Stella's house after making sure the taxi guy drove away...

Stella had welcomed both Martin and Lexi to her home before and on their watch, she picked the key from under the door mat as that's a place she always left her key for a long time for either Martin or Remi for whenever they would get there before she did just so that they would not end up waiting for her by the door. Lexi took note of that but she never thought a day would come when she would need to use the key but was glad she knew that so that she could make the surprise even sweeter. Stella would not see that coming.

Lexi pulled up the door mat and saw the key then picked it up with a smile on her face. " This was very genius of you Stella, you have made sneaking in and killing you so easy. She said as she opened the door and went inside. She was going to wait for Stella and Stella Was going to be her next victim. How could she meddle in her affairs and ask her to leave Martin's house yet Martin was her fiance?..

Lexi knew Remi wouldn't go after Martin if Stella had not told her too. She always knew that when it came to Remi or her, Stella would definitely pick Remi so she would not regret one bit what she would do for her when she got back..

The wait for Stella had been quite a long one as Stella took her time to get home from the hospital. She spoke to the doctor and nurses who were handling him and told them not to allow anyone to visit him if it was not either her or Remi the officer. She eventually left the hospital and drove herself home for she needed to take a shower and wash off Martin's blood off her and also get a change of clothes. When she left the hospital she called Remi to let her know she had left and Remi promised to go to Stella's that evening for dinner and so Stella stopped by a shopping center and shopped for a few items on her way home and when she got to her door, she reached for the key under the mat but it was not there, she checked her bag but the key was not there.

Stella: gosh, did I leave the door open?

She asked holding the handle and opening the door and to her surprise it did open.

She stood there for a few seconds sure enough that she had locked the door but all the same she went in mumbling stuff to her self pushing the door closed with her legs and when she got to the living room she saw Lexi sitting on the couch looking at her very shiny knife then she looked at her and gave her usual wicked smile..

Stella dropped the shopping and screamed not having enough strength to run out.

Lexi: hello Stella?..

Stella: how... How did you get the key have you been following me?

Lexi: follow you, come on girl, im not idle and secondly, you are beautiful and stuff but I am into your brother. I would not have a reason to follow you at all. I am not you know...

Stella was shaking. She was aftraid of what Lexi was there for bit she had to be brave if not fir herself then for her brother.

She dropped the keys to her car on the table and took off her shoes..

Stella: well, now that you are here.. lets talk.

Lexi looked at her and shook her head..

Lexi: I'm not here to talk.

Stella: what are you here for?

Lexi: wow! Yet i thought you liked me just as much as your brother said..

Stella: oh i did..

Lexi: but it does not seem.like it. I got your message, you asked me to leave your brother's house?

Stella didn't respond to that but she could see that Lexi was like a person with some personality disorder. One minute she would be talking all calm and smilingly but the next she would see the complete opposite..

Lexi: why do you want me to leave, so that you can hook him up?

Stella: no.

Lexi: what's your reason for kicking me out of a house whose rent you are not paying..where is Martin that you have to be his spokesperson. Is he here?

She asked looking around and Stella had gotten more scared.

Lexi: so you are the nosey b***h who can't keep off my business. You want to destroy my relationship with your brother where is he?....
