Hannah's POV
My Thursday morning started like any other day of the week. A busy day as normal. I was excited about going out for a change.
I haven't had a girl's night out with my bestie Linda in months. That's because I have been caught up in my work I hardly ever had time for anything else.
I literally had to schedule my plans. Linda called me on Monday to set up the ladies night out date. She said that she wanted us to try out some club.
She has been talking about it for a year. She said that she had been calling and trying to get in for months.
According to her, she was on the waiting list for tonight. I wanted to dress up since I hadn't done that in a while too.
Tonight is going to be just about us ladies having fun and drinking some champagne. I picked out my white sleevless dress.
It was long and went all the way to the floor. I tried to pick out the longest pair of heels I had because I didn't want to ruin my dress.
I couldn't wait to get home and change after work. Linda was already waiting for me at my apartment, as usual making herself comfortable in my home.
I'm gonna have to take back my key one of these days. She was also looking like a knockout with a blue bodycon dress.
We were planning on getting sloshed so neither of us wanted to drive, we took an Uber instead. I wanted to party hard.
This is because tommorow might be Friday but it's also a holiday so there's no work and I can sleep in till late.
So we give the driver the name of the club and he gets us there safely. When we get to the door we hear that the club is full but there's space in the VIP.
For a minute I thought that we where gonna have to go back as there was so many people who where being turned away.
After we gave the hostess our names she took us straight to the VIP section. I should have known something was up because Damon Heights was there as well.
I know it's far fetched since he couldn't possibly know that I was going to the club.
The night seemed to be going well and for once I was enjoying myself
Damon kept on talking to Linda asking her all kinds of questions.
In the meantime William was constantly excusing himself to take calls, he looked like he didn't even want to be at the club.
We had food, we drank and we danced the night away. It was about two thirty in the morning when Linda and where waiting outside the club.
We were waiting for our Uber ride, after I declined Damon's offer to take us home. I still didn't want him to know where I lived.
The Uber driver took forever to come. We were standing there on side walk with the morning breeze blowing cold air.
I suddenly regretted wearing that dress and not having a jacket on top to keep me warm. I just didn't think I'd be waiting in the cold this long.
A car came by and I was excited thinking that our ride has arrived. Instead it was Damon and his friend.
He got out of the car and gave Linda a jacket, I think it might have been William's jacket because it was a bit big to be his size.
I was so cold I didn't care who's jacket it was. I just wanted to get warm quickly.
"Come on Hannah, It's cold, let me take you home." Damon said.
"I told you that I'm waiting for my ride, it will be here any minute now." I told him again for the sixth time.
"Look Hanna, we can do this the easy way or we can do this the hard way, your choice, either ways, you're getting into this car" Damon threatened.
I know he was serious because he looked like he was about to kill someone. I didn't care though. "No thank you." I said to him.
This time he didn't ask me, Instead he scooped me up and threw me on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
"What the hell are you doing? put me down this instant!" I demanded Damon to put me down. Which he didn't listen to.
"Get in the car Linda." Damon said to Linda who was more than ready to ride shortgun in the passenger seat.
He opened the door of the car and threw me inside. He closed the door behind him and got in.
"Drive." He said to William who didn't need to be told twice what to do. We we moving in no time.
"Who the hell do you think you are just lifting me up like that! You're not my boyfriend Damon!"
I was really mad at him for doing that. Linda and I weren't the only ones waiting for our ride's and since it was a club that operates the whole night, there was still a line at the door.
He had just embarrassed me infront of all those people. How the could he do that to me?
"Get angry all you want, I wasn't going to let you freeze to death and give yourself a cold because you were too stubborn to accept a ride home"
Okay maybe he has a point there, It really was a cold night and I had no reason to say no since our driver seemed to have been lost.
What was supposed to be five minutes turned into twenty minutes and I wasn't exactly dressed for that kind of weather.
I don't even know why I was acting like this because Damon has been a perfect gentleman the entire night.
He wouldn't even let us pay for our drinks or food. He insisted that the bill was settled. He danced with me and never once did he look at other women.
Not even when a bunch of models where dancing next to him, his eyes where fixed on me. He didn't even make any s****l remarks even once.
I'm starting to think that maybe I might be wrong by judging a book by it's cover, there might be something underneath all that bad boy persona afterall.
Linda gave William directions to my place and Damon kept quiet the whole way to my place. I wondered what was in that gorgeous head of his.
Did I say gorgeous? I must have had more champagne than I thought. I meant that I wonder what was on his mind.
We got to my place and he got out and opened the door for me and Linda, something that should be done by William.
"Can I walk you to your door?" he asked politely. I thought I wanted to say no but my lips disobeyed my wishes and said yes.
Before I knew it, we were at my door step and glazing into each other's eyes.
"Thanks for tonight, I had a lovely evening." I said because it was truth. He was very good to me tonight.
"My pleasure my lady, I'm glad you had a wonderful evening." he said with a smile.
"I guess I'll get going then..." He said like he was waiting for me to say something. I didn't. Instead I said okay and went into my house.
This was weird because I wanted to kiss him. I don't even like the guy and now I was tempted to kiss him.
Note to self. "No more drinking champagne with hot guys." I said to myself.
I have always seen Damon in a suit, seeing him in something different was sight for sore eyes. He really knows how to put an outfit together.
But then again people like don't usually dress themselves. I bet he has someone who picks out his clothes for him everyday.
Whoever that person is, he is doing a great job. I like the way he was dressed tonight. He didn't try too hard.
He looks as good as he does in a tuxedo. Why am I suddenly thinking of Damon?
"You're falling for him Hannah." I jumped in shock to hear Linda talking, I thought she would be in bed already.
"I don't know what you're talking about, You know I can't stand the man". I didn't even have to ask who she was talking about.
Ever since we got back from that party Damon has been the only thing we talk about in this house. Linda kept on saying that he liked me.
That's not the only thing, she also said that she thinks that I like him too and that's why he irritated me so much.
I don't think that's true. I mean he has a reputation of being a playboy. I have seen the articles and pictures.
I read that he had a huge Yatch on which he would throw private parties that lasted days. Actually I read a lot about him.
I know the internet and I know how much they can sensationalize articles to attract readers. With that I know that I can't believe everything I read on the internet.
I also believe that where there's smoke, there's fire. I can't really be naïve about some of the things being true about him. I just don't know how much of it is true though.
As for me, I'm not really looking for a relationship. My work comes first and I don't want to jinx things but I think that my boss has been hinting a promotion.
I have been busting my ass as a PA for the last three year. I have learned so much from Vivian and I was thankful for the opportunity she gave me.
I was fresh out of collge with no working experience when I got the job. I had a lot on my shoulders and my grandmother was all I had.
A lot has happened since then and now the only constant person in my life is my friend Linda.
I got ready for bed and soon found myself thinking about Damon again. he was constantly on my mind. Even when I sleep he haunted me. I guess I might have to find a way around that.
