'Before either of you tell me some bullsh*t about why you two are here, I want to point out that I know something happened back there, and it's something related to Enya. She is probably in trouble, and this time, not by her own doing, which is a surprise for once. Tell me the truth, because I'm not the only one of the three of us left out. I've never seen you look like that, which means it's more than just f*cking an Alpha who is not on good terms with the Alpha King.' Luke says and looks at me first and then at Max, his expression saying he is waiting for us to come out clean.

'Enya is the rogue King's daughter. She found out today.' Max says reluctantly. So much for keeping it a secret.

'Holly sh*t!' Luke says and drags his hand down his face. Exactly!

'She may be in bigger trouble than ever before.' Luke exclaims.

'Exactly. That's why this new information stays with us, never leaving this room.' Max says and looks at Luke pointedly.

'Of course, it stays between us.' Luke says without missing a beat.

'Okay. Now, you both, prepare for your shift, which starts in less than an hour.' Max commands us.
