Enya From the moment I laid my eyes on him for the first time, I knew my life would never be the same again. I knew who he was. His alpha aura gave him away. But it wasn't his position that was pulling me to him. I didn't give two sh*ts about that. It was something else. Maybe it was the way he carried himself, with confidence and something else. Capability? Maybe. Or maybe it was the way he was goofing around with his friends. Like it was normal for him to have a good time out. Or maybe it was the way he was laughing. Like it was the funniest thing that happened to him. He was definitely the most handsome man I've ever seen. Too bad he wasn't mine. He wasn't my fated mate, that was clear from the moment our eyes locked, and my wolf didn't recognize him as our mate. But still, there was this strong feeling that was pulling me to him. When I spotted him emerging from the gym with his friends, my heart did this stupid flip. He was wearing a sweatshirt with a hoodie over his head. He was telling something funny to his friends, laughing along with the storytelling. Suddenly, another of his friends stepped out of the gym and threw a bag at him. He caught it with ease. His movements were so smooth it looked like they had done it numerous times before. I smiled at that. And that was the moment his eyes caught me. He was looking at me with the same interest I was studying him. After a while, he excused himself and started going in my direction. I prepared myself for our first encounter. I took a deep breath to steady myself. I really needed it. When he came to a stop near the table where I was sitting and drinking my morning coffee, I knew I was right. My life changed forever. He wasn't my mate, but for some unknown reason, I was instantly in love with him. It was love at first sight.
