Chad arrived in Leesburg, Virginia, hot, dusty, and tired from his long day’s ride and more than a little frustrated. He had spent three days on a wild goose chase to Richmond, only to be disappointed once again. He found the hotel, procured a room, and bedded Bill in the local stable. In both places he enquired as to whether the Wild West show had been in town and if anyone could tell him where it might be headed next.
