Chapter 2

Luna Nueva’s POV (Currently inside Sina Crisiente’s body)

“Alice!”

Marahas akong bumangon at nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang makita na nasa loob ako ng isang sira-sirang throne hall.

Mabilis kong iginala ang tingin sa paligid at napagtanto ko na ang throne hall na ito ay nasa Aquamarine Kingdom, ang kaharian na dapat sana ay babawiin namin ngunit dahil sa hindi ko matandaan na dahilan ay pinaatras ko ang lahat.

Pero anong ginagawa ko dito?

Kumunot ang noo ko nang mapagtanto na nandito pala ako sa mismong trono ng hari at nakatali pa ang isa kong kamay.

“Sina!”

Napatingin ako sa sirang pinto at marahas na pumasok doon si Addie habang masamang tingin ang ibinibigay sa akin.

“Si—” Kumunot ang noo niya. “Luna?” Agad siyang lumapit sa akin at hinawakan ang magkabilang pisngi ko. “You are Luna, right?”

“Yeah.” Tinapik ko ang kamay niya at inalis ang nakatali sa kamay ko.”What are you doing here, Addie? And what the hell happened to me?”

“Sina took over her body and put you in deep sleep,” sabi niya. “Hindi ko alam kung bakit bigla na lang siyang nagparamdam pagkatapos ng matagal niyang pananahimik. Pero gusto niyang ma-access ang lahat ng alaala mo mula nang makarating ka sa Topaz Kingdom at makaharap ang Full moon council.”

Damn it! I think I dropped my guard. That is why Sina managed to take this body back and I can’t do anything about it.

Ginulo ko ang buhok ko at marahas na bumuntong hininga. “I am just glad that the spell that I learned from her mother helped.” Bumaling ako sa kanya. “Where is everyone? And how long have I been out here?”

“Just a few days,” she said. “We retreated the whole force at the border when Sina got out. Rin and Alicia were also there, waiting for the result of this meeting. And to be honest, they were all worried about you.”

I raised my eyebrows on her. “And why are you here?”

“She made a bargain.” Bumuntong hininga siya. “She wants to know what you did to hide those memories from her in exchange for not killing that body.”

“And what is your decision?” tanong ko sa kanya. “Plano mong ipagpalit ang impormasyon na iyon para hindi niya saktan ang katawang ito?”

Umiling siya. “We already talked about it before, right? And I gave you my word,” sabi niya. “Killing you is better than letting her know what you and the Full Moon council have been up to since you all met.”

Mula nang malaman ko kung ano ba talaga ang plano ni Sina ay agad akong humingi ng tulong sa kanyang ina na nagturo sa akin ng isang spell kung saan magagawa kong i-separate ang alaala ko sa sarili kong kaluluwa.

It is for the protection of our plan because once that b***h learns what we are up to, she will surely wake up Kronen earlier than what they plan.

And I know we are still not ready to face that monster.

He is far more powerful even though he is just a Thamanian. And I still lack the experience to fight him head-on. Aside from that, I am not really sure if I can fight him because that body is where Rin resides.

“Good to know, Addie.” I brushed her hair. “Thank you.” I am just glad that even though it is hard for all of us, they still choose to do what is right for their world. Just like what we all talked about.

“But why?” aniya. “Why did Sina suddenly hide again and give back control of that body to you without even facing me? She was so desperate to know those hidden memories that she even used herself just to get it.”

I shook my head. “I don’t know. I just woke up here, lying on that throne while my hands were tied.” Ipinakita ko sa kanya ang lubid na nakatali sa kamay ko kanina.

“s**t! That was the reason why she gave her body up again to you,” she said while pointing at the rope. “She needed you to take that off.”

“Huh?”

“That rope is a special item that can only be used against a thamanian,” she explained. “Only a luna del cacciatore can take that out because of the unique characteristic of the soul. Aside from that, it also limits the power that the thamanian has that is why she needs to release you to take it off.”

Tinitigan ko ang lubid na iyon. “Can you hold it?”

Umiling siya. “It cannot touch our skin,” sagot niya. “It is toxic to us and we don’t have any way to counter that.”

“She can’t take this out on her own so she gave her body back,” I said. “Anong epekto nito sa tulad kong may katawan ng thamanian pero kaluluwa ng luna del cacciatore?”

Umiling siya ulit. “It has no effect on you since that item was attacking the soul of whoever holds that,” paliwanag niya. “Isa lang iyang simpleng lubid sa mga kamay mo ng isang luna del cacciatore.”

I guess this item really helped me get back here.

But I kinda know how Sina works. I am sure that she activated some spell for her advantage so I had to go back to the fountain to know what she did.

But who tied her to the throne?

“It doesn’t matter who tied her using that rope,” Addie said. “Ang mahalaga ngayon ay nagawa mong makabalik at magawan ng paraan kung ano ang spell na ginamit ng bruhang iyon sayo. At maipagpatuloy ang mga plano natin dahil hindi pa din tumitigil si Eleanor sa pagpapakawala ng mga halimaw niya.”

“Yeah, you are right about that.” Inipon ko ang buhok ko at ginamit na panali ang lubid. I can weaken Sina using this item if ever she tries to take this body back again.

“Let’s go,” aya sa akin ni Addie. “Hindi man sabihin ng mga iyon ay siguradong umaasa pa din sila na babalik ka at hindi magtatagumpay si Sina sa mga plano niya.”

Ngumiti ako. “Then, huwag na natin silang paghintayin pa.”
