Nessie

I awoke to a familiar smell. Bacon. I was immediately aware of my surroundings, and as I pushed the blanket back, my lack of clothing. Day 2. I should see my new home today. Start my new life. I sighed. I got up and went and opened the panel to reveal the closet. At least it worked. He did a better job of getting day clothes. I selected a nice floral print blouse and some jeans. While I changed I thought about the restless night I had and Kyier keeping his promise not to go to far. he was pretty much a gentleman. He did wrap his arm around my waist but nothing more, even though I could feel his erection at my back. I know the consummation was coming soon but I wish I had more time. s**t. There just was no way to make this easy. Oh well. Big girl panties on. I headed to the kitchen area to join him.

"Good morning." When I walk in he has his back to me, cooking.

He turns and smiles. "Pleasant rising to you as well. I see you were able to get your day wear with no issue." He nods in approval and points to a plate. "I am trying to make some of what I understand are your earth favorites for first meal. Bacons. Eggs. Pantcakes . Such a strange name." I walk over and inspect.

"It looks good." I grab a piece of bacon and test it out. "This is actually really good." He beams in reply.

"I'm glad you like it." He finishes up and joins me at the table."We should dock at Turan around midday.We shall reach our abode shortly after. I have arranged transport already. "

I nodded as I ate. Arranged transport? I guess they didn't have a park and fly for shuttles. "Is there anything I need to do?"

He looked up. "After we eat we will need to strap in . Autopilot can't dock us. The scenery should be soothing and nice to look at. Space can be beautiful in.

We finished the rest of the meal in a comfortable silence. I wondered if it wold always be like this or would there eventually be some kind of genuine emotions. I had read about some of the earth spouses actually living ore like roommates. Some were living a great life. Some were miserable. I wasn't sure yet what my life would be but i was hoping we would at least be friends.

After cleaning up we went to strap in. After we were settled, Kyier pointed out smaller planets. One that was a teal and purple stood out to me. He said that was Karac and we would go there on a holiday at some point. He said it was one of his favorite places to go. We passed a planet that looked solid white. "What's that?"

He made a grim face. "Its a dead planet. There are a few stragglers but no one goes there. Its considered a closed world. Vapen. They were a hard ruthless people. Started several wars. As other planets got more advanced technology, they didn't win as much. None kept them as prisoners because they were too volatile. They weren't to be trusted. The few places that tried paid in the blood of their young. In another few solars they will be extinct. The system will be safer. Get ready. We have to make one hyper jump. You may feel a little nauseous, but other than that it is perfectly safe. I saw him press a button then a white line appeared in front of us. He went straight at it then I had the feeling of floating underwater and being squeezed then the pressure released. "Are you well? He turned to me after we had completed the jump.

"Yes but what was that?" I felt a little dizzy but otherwise ok.

"Hyperjump. It cuts down on travel time, but doing too many isn't good for any species. 1 is enough to reduce the trip to earth down from 5 days.

We passed the time like that, him educating me about planets, until a huge cream and pink ball came into view. It was beautiful. "What planet is that?" I asked.

"Your new home. That's Turan." He smiled and I sensed a bit of pride. "After some time, I think you will grow to care for it. Maybe not as much as earth, but enough." I could hear the hope in his voice. "We're ready to dock." He reached to the comm controls and announced our docking. They gave the all clear and within moments we were headed toward something that looked like a huge claw.

Docking was smoother than I expected. Afterwards we sat there looking at each other. He spoke first. "Are you ready?" I nodded and stood up. I went to grab my luggage but he stopped me. "It will be delivered shortly after we arrive at our abode. For now we just need to head to transport. "

I followed him through an intricate network of what looked like steel beams until we made it to the main hub. It resembled what an earth airport looked like in a way. I almost got separated from him a few times stopping to look at new species and new things. I saw a being that was easily as tall as a skyscraper and pink,almost fuchsia with long brown hair and bulging green eyes. I could have stayed there all day trying to learn the different species and things that were there, but not today.

We made it to the transport area and I finally saw what he meant. It looked like well a hoovering bumper car. Bigger though. I've seen too much s**t today to even want to dwell on it. Kyier lifts me in and we are off. I see all kinds of beings below us carrying out everyday activities. Shopping. Working. Playing. Just life. Like back on earth. interesting. Kyier points to a large building that is green and looks like it was carved from marble. "That is the capital where our Queen rules from." Queen huh? This place is looking up. We head over what I can only refer to as a turbulent pink lake.

The hoover bumper car started getting lower until it was almost ground level again. We were stopped in front of a building that kind of reminded me of a round white house. Kyier handed the driver something and then stepped out. He held his hand out for me. I took it and stepped down. I maybe made two steps before he picked me up. "I understand earth custom is for the husband to carry the bride into the entrance of their abode." I nodded confirmation, taking everything all in.

He led us to what I guess was the front door. He touched a panel and it opened. He carried me into an immaculate home. He set me down and smiled at me.

"Welcome to your new abode. May we have many happy years here." He hugged me. I hugged him back but I didn't feel the same joy he was exhibiting.
