Chapter Fourteen – Broken
Feeling like the earth was moving beneath her, Kyla woke with a shock, she was disorientated and confused, unsure of her surroundings, and why the bed beneath her shook. There were cries, more specifically male cries, they were of torment and anguish, and if it were not for the arms waving around in what she perceived as panic, Kyla would have thought herself still in a dream.
Last nights memories slowly crept their way back into her brain, as she rubbed the sleep fog from her eyes.
