Chapter Thirty One - Building a Home.
Kyla was as excited as the children when the bell rang to end the school day. She gathered up the textbooks for her year eleven class and placed them in her bag to take home and mark. As she headed out the door of her classroom, she was greeted in the corridor by the school’s headmaster.
“Kyla, just the person I wanted to see. We are starting an enrichment program for the children, and I would like you to start covering the activities” Kyla smiled, hiding the inward groan she felt.
“Of course, but I cannot start them until next week at the earliest” Kyla sighed
“Well, I wanted them to start this week” the Head pushed
Taking a deep breath, not allowing herself to be bullied into it, she smiled once more
