Fight Back

“Stand up.” I looked at him. “Stand up!” I tried that but that didn't happen very well so he pulled me into his arms and we walked out of the room. I looked back to see the boy but he wasn't there. I asked myself if I was ever going to see his face. I looked at Louise as he standing over the oven. “You know, I've heard that you haven't eaten anything. And that you think that it is going to kill you.” He waited a minute before he spoke again. “So you're going to watch me cook your food.” At the table I looked at my food. “You really need to eat. You know, to get your strength.”  I looked up at him. “What do you mean?” “I'm saying that you need it, so that you can start going out with the guys, which is if you can behave.” “Your? You're going to let me go... Out there…” I pointed to the window.  “Yes out there. But you need to look like you've lived here for years well, at less for the last two mouths.” “Why are you doing this?” “Doing what Nora?” “k********g me?” “Why the fact that you are going to be seventeen years old.” “That the thing I’m going to be not that I am.” “Okay your right.” “So why did you do it?” He looked at me but never did answer. I took a long breath and then asked. “How many people live here?” “Umm about for five if you count the girl.” “They are?” “There isn't anyone kids if that what you are wondering. They work for me.”  “How? How you know, about that?” “You have this way of showing your thoughts.” Wait what?  “You will understand one day.”  I thought about it, but just let it go. “Lunch was good thank you.” “I'm glad you liked it.” “I really did no joke.” “So I have something to show you.” He walked me out into the back yard where the gate high in the sky. The grass green and the much beautiful there is the right hand corner was flowers after flowers. “I want this to be yours.” I looked back at him. “This is so beautiful Louise.” “But?” “But what?” I looked at him. “Well because for as long as I've known you I know that you love the outdoors. This only happens in the show on TV. You know where people get a house make over and well you know?” “Well I do know. It's funny.”  “What's that?”  “That you are doing all things to have me forgot all about how I got here.” He looked at me. “I don't know what you are talking about?” “I'm talking about that you kidnapped me and locking me in a room. Drugging me however many times you did. Then you turn around and try and have me forget about it all by showing me this.” Grabbing me by the arm and pulling me in the house and then down into the basement. “You know I thought I could trust you but I guess not.” “What it was just a question?” “I don't care.”  I looked at him and know that he wasn't too sure what his really was doing. Days passed and no one came down. I couldn’t tell if it was day or night due to no windows. I haven't had water in about a week and a half. I don't remember the last time I had food. I was growing weaker and weaker by the minute. I never thought that I would be in this place. I only saw this stuff happen on CSI, where the girl was under ground for mouths and just as they are about to die they would be found and they return to their family safe and sound. But with me well we all know the end of my story isn’t going to be a happy one.             As I sat in the dark I thought about why I haven't been found and why when the cops where here and that they never came back. I stood up and walked around for the first time. I'm weak but really it’s not like I'm going to die slower. Why not help the poses out? I walked around the edges feeling the wall. As I walk I couldn't feel anything but then I fell. I couldn't see but that didn't stop me from knowing what it was. At first it felt like an animal but then I felt skin. It had short hair. It was a man. I didn’t know what to do, or say for that matter, a tear ran down my face. At last I screamed. Less than a minute past when the door open and Louise walked in. “So I see you found that basted.”  “Who?” “The basted who talked about doing things to you.” “Are you going to do that to me?” “Of course not.” He said, and then added “Not yet.” “WHAT!”  “I still need you and want you for things. Now come.”  “No I rather die in this hellhole then go with you.” “Well, that to bad for you. Causes guess what. You don't get to make that choose here I do.”  He opened the door, grabbing me by the arm and pulling me up into the light. “You know, I've never had this much trouble as I did was you friend down there.”  “Well that the different between him and me. He died and I still alive.”
