My apartment was blissfully empty. Summer meant that most of the other students in my apartment complex were usually off on trips, enjoying the break before classes started again. I was foolish enough to try to work during this time, and had landed myself in a rather confusing mess. Pushing into my apartment, I made extra sure to lock the door behind me. I didn't want any distractions for a while. I shed the clothes I had gone out in last night. It felt wrong to stay in them for another moment. They were clean, obviously, but they felt soiled in some way. My foolishness had stained them. I pulled on an oversized t-shirt and some athletic shorts instead. I plopped onto the couch and laid flat on my back. The eggs I'd eaten for breakfast had thankfully settled my stomach, and the ibuprof
