14 ZAC We walked home slowly that night, delaying the moment when we’d reach Mari’s family trailers and have to part again. Resting her head on my shoulder, she wrapped her arms around one of mine and typed a message before lifting the screen of her phone for me to see. “Could you talk to me? I love listening to your voice.” I blurted out a strained laugh and shook my head. “Uh...okay.
