Instead, he went back to the background checks he’d been working on before Greg arrived. Frank returned just after noon, letting Zeke know he’d finished the job for Mr. Allan. They took off for lunch at a nearby restaurant, and when they got back, Jan left for her lunch hour. Zeke had Frank sit in on the two o’clock appointment since he was the agency’s security installation expert. Once the contract was signed, and a time was set with the client for Frank to meet him at his shop the following morning, Frank left to investigate a store owner’s claim that one of his employees was stealing from him.
