The first part of the night, I slept great, but the second half, I kept waking up to Xeraphina crying. I could hear Zoey moving around, letting me know she was already awake, so I forced myself back to sleep each time.
When I finally got up later that morning, I went to check on my sister and niece, but they weren’t in her bedroom. After checking the living room and kitchen, I went to the willow tree to see if Zoey was there, but there was no sign of her being there.
