I intently watched my best friend expose himself to the sun, then I watched him spin around with the biggest smile on his face. Pierre looked so happy, spinning around like a child, I just had to see what put that smile there.
After jumping to my feet, I pulled Jace up with ease, as I rambled, “Come with me! I’ve never felt the sun on my skin! Is it as warm as people say?”
However, I didn’t give Jace time to answer before I started running toward the shoreline, pulling him behind me. We were almost there when Pierre sprinted past us with the smile still plastered on his face.
