Chapter 11Dressed in black jeans and a fitted dark blue T-shirt, Harris stood at the bar, squeezed in between too many sweaty guys. Leaning his elbows on the bar top, he gazed out at the crowded dance floor before him. Every once in a while, a blond man walked by and his heart would skip a beat. But it was never Jude. Where was Jude tonight? What was he doing? Was he lonely? Sad? He longed for Jude’s presence. He hadn’t heard from him in over a week, not since they’d last spoken that night. In the last days, Harris had been so depressed, he’d missed work, canceling two important meetings, and getting himself in trouble with his bosses.
