After hearing what Hu Hui said, everyone in the room looked at Song Shuang.
Gu Baisheng stared at him unbelievably, paying attention to every detail of his expression.
Song Shuang moved his deep and dark eyes from Hu Hui's face to Gu Baisheng.
Looking at her, he opened his mouth after a long time of thinking and spitted out two words, "I agree."
Hu Hui was relieved.
She walked past Song Shuang in a hurry and took Gu Baisheng's hand back from Bai Dahai's hand.
She then stood in front of Gu Baisheng and looked at Bai Dahai, "Did you hear that? Mr. Bai, your daughter has a man to marry now."
Bai Dahai and Xia Juan were confused by the sudden situation.
Yet they were thinking clearly. Marrying their daughter to Song Shuang was better than Shen Jing.
Song Shuang was the only child of the Song Family, which was a prestigious family. It was not only him who was quite extraordinary. His whole family was not nobody.
If their daughter married Song Shuang, she would be marrying high. She would go from nobody to somebody.
They could take pride in raising Mrs. Song.
Shen Jing couldn't compare to Song Shuang. If they must be compared, Shen Jing was nowhere near Song Shuang.
They wanted to marry their daughter to Shen Jing because he was rich.
Yet his money was nothing comparing to Song Shuang who came from a prestigious family line.
Bai Dahai changed his expression immediately. He was scolding his daughter, yet he suddenly smiled like a flower. He rubbed his hands and asked Song Shuang with a smile, "Then when will you get the certificate with Shengsheng?"
"Your daughter is Bai Shengsheng." Song Shuang looked at Bai Dahai coldly. He corrected him with disgust in his eyes.
Bai Dahai was talked back. His expression slightly changed, yet he still asked with a smile, "Then it's settled, right?"
Song Shuang didn't say anything.
Qu Xiaobo and her boyfriend Zhang Kai were surprised by this sudden twist.
Since Bai Shengsheng didn't reject it, Hu Hui took Bai Shengsheng's hand in her hand and patted it. She comforted Bai Shengsheng, "Good girl. I made the decision and asked Dr. Song to marry you. Do you want that?"
Gu Baisheng looked at her mother. Even though she didn't know Gu Baisheng was her daughter, her eyes were still full of concern.
She couldn't help but felt sore in her heart. She nodded her head with strength, "I do. Thank you, auntie."
She didn't have any other way. Bai Family didn't treat her like their daughter.
If she married Song Shuang, she would be hated by him at most. With Hu Hui, Song Shuang wouldn't divorce her. They could just live their lives separately.
But if she didn't marry Song Shuang, she would go back to Bai Family.
She couldn't imagine how Bai Family would t*****e her, this fake daughter, under the pretext of "parents' order".
Her scalp felt numb when she thought about Shen Jing, that beast in a human face.
She didn't want to live with that kind of man, let alone marrying him.
Seeing her agreeing, Hu Hui smiled.
Even though losing her daughter made her weary, at this moment, her smile was sincere.
Gu Baisheng clenched her mother's hand.
Hu Hui turned around and looked at Song Shuang, "Shuang, you can get the certificate with Shengsheng tomorrow morning. Let her stay in my daughter's room tonight."
Then, she turned around and gently touched Gu Baisheng's face as if she was finding similarities between her and her dead daughter.
She gave her a complicated yet gentle look, "Your clothes are wet today. I didn't pack my daughter's clothes. You're the same size as her. If you don't mind, you can wear her clothes for now. Tomorrow when you two get the certificate, you can then move your things to your new home and stay with Shuang."
Hu Hui was a single mother and a clever woman.
She noticed with one look that bad things may happen if Bai Shengsheng continued to live in Bai Family.
So she took charge and arranged her to move into her daughter and Song Shuang's house.
This way, Gu Baisheng could avoid the harassment from Bai Family.
Gu Baisheng was deeply grateful for what her mother arranged. She couldn't help herself but hugged Hu Hui, "Thank you, auntie."
