Nolan’s P.O.V Our first week was done. Now starting Monday, the hard work really begins. The week had flown in, to be honest. Between College, getting more settled in our apartment and Char hanging out with us. “I think we should have a drink to celebrate our first week,” Maya said as we headed into our apartment. “And how we going to do that? Neither of us is twenty-one.” I laughed. “Duh! Fake I.D dude, remember I have had one since I was fifteen.” She giggled. “Oh, yeah that’s right.” I laughed, “Since when do I drink?” I added looking at her. I was not a drinker really. I have had a drink but only maybe a beer or two, nothing out there. “We are in college now. You need to start living a little,” she said rolling her eyes. “I know, I know but I don’t wanna make an i***t of myself.” I laughed. “In front of who? It will only be you and me. I asked Char but she has plans with her family tonight.” She said. “You have a point. But nothing too strong OK? I don’t wanna get sick.” I said. “Ok, good boy…” she teased, smirking at me. “Whatever!” I said flipping her off. “I still love you, even though you are boring.” She laughed. “I call it sensible...” I laughed. “I am only messing baby boy. If you do not want a drink, we don’t need to have one.” She smiled, giving me a one-armed hug. I slipped my arm around her, pulling her into my side and kissing the top of her head. “I will have a drink with you,” I said. “Ok. I will go out and get it.” She smiled. “I will make a start on dinner.” I smiled. She nodded, kissing my cheek before heading out. I headed to the kitchen to get a start on dinner. I decided on spaghetti and meatballs. I put some music on, getting to it. I was interrupted when a text came through. I grabbed it, seeing it was from my older brother Justin. He was five years older than me. He was also the complete opposite of me. He was a bit of a wild one. He cannot stay in one place for too long. He has spent the last couple of years travelling the world, so I don’t really see him much. Justin: Hello, little brother. How is College and staying with Maya? Nolan: Hey, big brother. All is going well. How is London? Justin: Awesome! The girls are so damn sexy here, it is the accent moving onto Paris in a couple of days. Staying there for a week then coming back home after that for a couple of weeks. Can I come to visit? Nolan: Of course, you can! It will be good to see you. You can crash here; I will sleep in with Maya. Justin: Awesome! You two not hooking up yet? It is about you get laid ha-ha. Nolan: NO! And we never will ha-ha, get that out of your head. Justin: Yeah, yeah...you keep telling yourself that lol. What better way to lose your virginity than to your gorgeous best friend...just saying ha-ha. Nolan: Not gonna happen! Ever! That is so wrong! Plus, she is too good for me. Justin: There would be different wrong about it lol. Come on little brother, stop putting yourself down. Nolan: It is the truth. Does mum and dad know you are coming home? Justin: Nice way of changing the subject lol. Not yet will tell them later when I talk to them. Justin and I text back forth for a bit before he had to go. I got back to making dinner. I chuckled to myself. He has never managed to get his head around that the opposite s*x can be just friends. He cannot quite get that concept. He loves the ladies too much to just be friends with them. He was what my mum likes to call him an adorable asshole. That always made me laugh. “I have booze.” Maya giggled coming in. “And dinner is cooking.” I smiled. “Then our night is sorted.” She smiled. She put the drink away. Both decided to wait until after we have been fed to start drinking. It wasn’t like we needed to be up early tomorrow. I checked dinner before we headed through to relax for a bit. “Justin will be home soon. He is gonna come visit and stay here. Is that alright?” I asked. “Yes, of course, it is.” She smiled, “I know you miss him. I will just share a bed with you.” She added. “I told him that,” I smiled. I decided not to tell her about the rest of the conversation that Justin and I had. I will keep that to myself. And hopefully, when he comes here, he will not say anything like that either. He probably will. My brother does not know how to stay quiet. It is not in his nature. “Your parents will be happy to have him home.” she smiled. “Yes, but he will not stay around too long. You know what he is like.” I said her nodding in agreement with me. Maya and I got settled down, watching TV until dinner was ready. She was sprawled out on the sofa, her head on my lap. “What did you get to drink?” I asked looking down at her. “Beer, wine and tequila.” She smiled “Tequila really?” I laughed “I said nothing too strong. Are you trying to kill me?” I added. “You will be fine, as long as you don’t drink too much of it.” She giggled “That is alright for you to say. You are used to it.” I laughed. “I will teach you how to drink baby boy.” She laughed, winking at me. I rolled my eyes, shaking my head. There was no way I could keep up with her. She can drink anyone under the table. I would not even try. The conversation never got any further because the timer went off to say that dinner was ready. I chuckled, getting up and heading through. I do not know if I trust drinking with her. She will probably end up getting me completely wasted. It really will not take that much probably. “Maya, can you get the plates and things, dinner is ready,” I called out. “If I must,” she said in a groan. I knew without seeing her she was rolling her eyes. She hates being disturbed when she is comfortable. I hear her huffing as came through. I just laughed, rolling my eyes at her. She flipped me off, sticking her tongue out at me. She will huff and puff, but she will still do it. She just likes to moan and complain sometimes. “I made dinner. You are cleaning up.” I said. “Yeah, yeah whatever.” She said. “Do you want your dinner?” I asked and she nodded, “Then less of your cheek Miss Maya or you will be getting nothing.” I added, smirking. “You wouldn’t dare cause you know I would kick your ass.” She laughed. “Try me, sweet cheeks,” I smirked. She gave me a stern look, one that scares me a little, to be honest. I laughed, holding my hands up and backing down. Her looking at me smugly.  “Sit your ass down and eat your dinner,” I said. “Yes father,” she said in a groan but done it anyway. I swear my life would be very dull without this girl.
