Chapter Six: Bizzare Love Triangle.

Gianna smiled widely, after hearing Grant's final decision. She laid down a brown envelope on Grant's table.
"I made a contract to seal our deal. All you need to do is to put your signature on it." she instructed him.
Grant took the paper and signed the contract.
"You can do whatever you want in that USB. I'll just give you the master copy of the video once the competition is over." Gianna firmly announced.
"Fine. Just make sure that you'll keep the end of the bargain, or else..." Grant warned her.
"Got it. Well, I have to go back to work now. Enjoy your coffee, Boss."
When Gianna was finally out from Grant's office, she lets out a deep calming breath.
He was secretly nervous while talking to Boss Grant. She still couldn't believe that she was able to blackmail her Boss without any other problems...
She also feels excited because she finally got his Boss' approval.
Boss Grant will really help her prepare for the most important competition of her life of his life. Her dream of becoming a professional make up artist is not that impossible to reach anymore.
"Alright, Gianna...Let's get it on." she whispered to herself.

Grant instantly stepped on his car breaks as soon as he arrives at his mother's house.
He received a call from his younger sister Lily, and she said their mother suffered from a high blood pressure.
He immediately went inside the house and climbed the stairs to go to his mother's room.
"Mom!" he opened the door as soon as he entered the room.
He saw Lily sitting on the side of the bed, holding their mother's hand. Their mother's lying on the bed, looking pale and weak...
"How are you feeling, Mom? Do you want to go to the hospital just to be sure that everything's okay?" Grant anxiously asked her.
"I don't need a doctor, Grant." his mother replied.
"But Lily said your blood pressure went up." Grant insisted.
"Lily,dear...Can you tell your brother what really happened?" the old woman asked her daughter.
Lily took a deep breath before she spoke.
"Mom read an article about you and Anthony. The article stated that you are in a "forbidden" relationship with him..." she started explaining everything.
"Mom, not everything you read on the internet is true." Grant insisted.
"As your mother, I want to believe you.I still don't understand why you don't have a girlfriend yet? It's been years since Sofia selfishly left you!" his mother reasoned out.
Grant helplessy sighed. It will take a one whole day before his mother stops complaining about his lovelife...
He secretly smiled when one idea came to his mind...
"---I would like to tell you something, Mom. It's supposed to be a surprise but for your peace of mind this is the right time for you to know the truth." he started with his plan.
"What is it?" asked the old woman.
"I already have a girlfriend."
His mother automatically got up from the bed. Lily stared at her older brother, while looking shocked.
"Really? Who?" both of them asked him the same question.
"Well, she's my assistant in the office. We've been going out for 2 weeks already. Don't worry, I'll introduce her to you at our family reunion." Grant said.
"What's her name, son?" his mother asked again, while looking interested.
"Her name's Gianna." Grant replied.
"I can't wait to meet her at the party, son! I want to get to know her better!" her mother happily said.
"I'm sure you'll like her. So, are you feeling okay now?"
"Yes. Thanks to your girlfriend." the old woman responded.
"That's a relief. I need to go back to the office since I still have a meeting. Gianna and I will just see you at our family reunion." Grant hurriedly said his goodbyes to his mother and sister...
He finally lets out a sigh of relief when he got into his car. He now needs to talk to Gianna and explain everything to her...

The next day...
Gianna pretended that she was busy typing on her laptop. She knows that Marsha and Brittany will invite her to eat out with them,but she won't be able to go with them this time.
She received an e-mail from Boss Grant awhile ago. He asked her to stay in the office because he said they need to talk about something important...
"Gia,let's go! There's a newly-opened restaurant nearby. Let's go check it out!" Brittany called her.
"Oh,I'm sorry but I can't go... Boss is asking me to do something for him." Gianna feels guilty lying to her girls.
"Well,that's a bummer. Anyway,goodluck, Gia! I hope he won't bite you." Marsha teased Gianna.
"I'm sorry, girls. Don't worry, I'll treat you next time." Gianna apologetically said.
When Brittany and Marsha are finally out of the office, Grant appeared from his private office and looked at Gianna's direction.
"Are they gone?" he asked her.
Gianna nodded in response.
"Come here." Grant ordered her.
Gianna immediately followed, while feeling so confused.
When Gianna entered Grant's private office,the man faced her, with a serious look on his face.
"I have a proposal, Gianna." he started.
"What kind of proposal are you talking about, Boss?" she curiously asked him.
"My proposal is ---- I want you to be my girlfriend. But I want you to be my girlfriend, no strings attached. This is purely a business deal." he explained.
"But why do I have to pretend to be your girlfriend, Boss?" Gianna curiously asked.
"Actually, My mother really wanted me to have a girlfriend. She said she's getting old, and she wants me to be happy. And because of an unavoidable circumstances, I also told my family that we've been going out,and we've only been dating for two weeks, and we're quite new. Now, here's the real problem. I promised them that I'll introduce you at our family reunion. That's why I need your help." Grant explained everything.
"Okay, Boss. I'm in." she finally made her decision.
Grant heaved a sigh of relief.
"We have a deal, then." he said, and after that he held out his hand to Gianna for a handshake.
