NORA’S POV
As I trudged down the hallway, my mind was still reeling from what had happened to me in Rhett’s chambers. Kai’s presence there took a turn for the worst. I was in utter shock when she laid her hands on me, but what was more shocking, was the fact that Rhett had hit her back, and it was because of me.
I was still sceptical about Rhett’s feelings for me, but when he got angry for my sake, I began to believe that his feelings for me were real. I was under the impression that the only reason why he was attracted to me was because of the mate bond, but now, I knew it was more than that.
I did not know how to feel about these feelings that Rhett harboured for me, because I did not feel the same way about him.
