Liam stood with defiance in his posture as he glared at Knox with contempt.
Knox's eyes darkened, and he made to step forward, but I quickly held his hand. He turned to me, his eyes burning with anger.
“Please, just let him be,” I pleaded, begging him with my eyes. I was tired of the confrontations and really just wanted to go now.
He scowled fiercely at the insolent Liam, then, with a frustrated sigh, he turned away.
“Let's go. I don't have time for foolish boys,” he growled, holding my hand.
