Tristan's POV
I remain at the sliding door. David was in the kitchen, it was spacious. I could still hear Elona and Spooky laughing and I tried my utmost best to not look their way as David turned around to look at me. He stood behind the kitchen counter. I didn't know what to say because I am here for Elona, and now I can't do sh^t. I am barely even trying to be calm.
"Are you okay?" David asked, looking at me with concern.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I replied, and before I know it, Spooky enters as he and Elona are talking.
She entered after him, but as she moved past me, holding a towel around her, she tripped, and I reached out, catching her. I held her body against mine, my gaze falling onto her parted lips. Trying my utmost best not to lean in and kiss those lips. Her hand was gripping my shirt, and then I moved my gaze up to her eyes. They were huge with shock.
"How was the photoshoot?" I heard David ask.
I cleared my throat, I let her go, but my gaze still held hers. "Are you fine?" I asked softly. I could feel myself softening up from the way that I felt just moments before. She somehow had that effect on me.
She nodded, "Yeah." she replied and moved away as Spooky and David were talking. If they weren't here, I might've kissed her, I could feel my d^ck strain against my pants and I turned away from them, looking out the sliding door so that they wouldn't see my erection and just then in a split second, it was flaccid when I heard Elona laugh with Spooky and all my anger and...jealousy crept up.
"So why don't you go to the movies tonight?" David asked. I turned around to face them. Spooky and Elona were each sitting on a barstool at the kitchen counter while David was leaning over the counter, his elbows resting on the counter.
"That is not a bad idea," Spooky said, "I enjoy good films," I walked towards them and I took a seat beside Elona, and she pulled the towel further over her. I could sense her nervousness.
"I think that you both should focus on schoolwork, especially after what happened last night," I chimed in, my gaze burning into Spooky.
"I think that Tristan is right about that," David said, and I was relieved that he agreed with me.
I could see Elona's shoulders sag. I will never allow them to go out together alone. I wasn't going to have Cris join them either because, at this point, I don't trust her due to last night.
"I guess that I better go." Spooky said, and then he looked at Elona. "I will text you," he said, as he stood up from the barstool. The anger was back. I didn't like that one bit. I clenched my jaw and I looked at David.
"I better get back home," I told him.
"But you hardly chilled, you basically only got here," he seemed surprised.
"I need to check up on my daughter," I lied and got up from the barstool.
"Very well," David stood up straight.
"I will see myself out, I will walk with Spooky. See you when I do," I said.
"Pop in anytime when you need to," David smiled at me and I knew what he meant by that. He wanted me not to bury myself in work all the time. He wanted me to chill with him more often. That includes the bar because that is his favorite place to hang out. Since Estelle passed away, I have never liked to hang out at the bar or club. There were women hitting on me and I didn't have time for that.
I didn't bother to look at Elona when I left. Once Spooky and I were out of the house and on the sidewalk, I stopped him" I don't want you to distract Elona from anything. Stay away from her and don't even bother to text her," I warned him.
"Mr Crane, I am her friend and I can see her whenever we can see each other. That means we will also see each other at school. You cannot stop me from texting her. You are not her father, and you are definitely not my father," he said, and this just p^ssed me off further.
"I don't know who you think you are talking to, I am way older than you and you will respect me. So do as I say," I stepped closer to him. He doesn't move.
"I don't know why you have a problem with me being friends with Elona, why not tell me just to stay away from Crislynn? I may be a person that people think that they can bully and threaten, but I don't care, I have been there and been through it all, and it made me be this person that I am today. I know that you may be feeling something for her, you care for her because you have always been there since she was a little girl, and you are treating her as your daughter, so I understand that part. But I am only her friend," he said and that took me aback. I never expected him to say all of that.
"What do you mean by saying that I feel something for her?" I asked.
"Well, I can see the way that you look at her, but I might be thinking wrong," he shrugged," Can I go home now?"
I have to play it safe, because I cannot fail in this regard, because it is too risky. "Yeah, but I mean what I said, stay away," I said, and then I turned around, without saying another word to him, and I walked back to my house.
I have to be extra careful around people. I don't want to be killed by my friend because I'm after his daughter and I don't need more problems in my life. I think that it is best that I stay away for now so that I do not make things obvious, because I do know that I had a few slip-ups in front of them that I had to quickly cover. This was the beginning of my sweet, unbearable torture.
