Tristan's POV
The school auditorium buzzed with energy as I stepped up to the podium, my eyes scanning the eager faces of students, parents, and teachers. Elona and Cris' school had become a vibrant tapestry of dreams, and I felt a profound sense of responsibility to share insights from my own journey even though I didn't want to be here. Elona and David weren't here yet. I continued to look for Elona.
"Good morning, everyone," I began, my gaze unconsciously seeking out Elona in the crowd. When my eyes found her, dressed as a beauty pageant contestant, I was momentarily taken aback. The sheer elegance and confidence she exuded left me breathless. A radiant smile played on her red lips, and I couldn't help but marvel at the unexpected beauty she brought to the event. She was dressed in a blue, glittery dress that hugged her curves, her breasts pushed up, and the length hit the ground. She had a sash over her that read 'Miss Universe', her make-up was beautiful, her long brunette hair was in Hollywood waves, and she had a little tiara on her head. Immediately, I saw her as my bride. I snapped out of that thought. Clearing my throat as I peeled my eyes away from Elona.
"As we navigate through life, each of us carries a unique set of aspirations," I continued, my words weaving through the attentive audience. "And speaking of unique aspirations, let me take a moment to appreciate the stunning Elona, who has chosen to represent her dreams with such grace and poise."
The room erupted in applause, and I couldn't hide the pride in my eyes as they met Elona's. Her choice to embrace the beauty pageant theme spoke volumes about her courage and individuality.
"Now, as we delve into the world of business and entrepreneurship," I shifted the focus back to the main topic, "it's crucial to recognize that success is not only about financial gains but also about the journey, the values we uphold, and the authenticity we bring to our endeavors."
My words flowed, drawing on the experiences of my own career. The unpredictability, the challenges, and the triumphs, all facets of the entrepreneurial journey. Yet, as I spoke, my mind kept drifting back to Elona, who embodied the essence of authenticity in her choice of attire.
"I have had the privilege of witnessing the power of authenticity in business," I continued, "and it's a principle that holds true in life as well. Your uniqueness is your strength. Embrace it, nurture it, and let it guide you."
The applause resonated through the auditorium once more, and I could sense the connection forged through shared experiences and aspirations. As I concluded my speech, a profound sense of gratitude washed over me.
Elona, standing there as a beacon of individuality, captured not only my attention but also the essence of the message I aimed to convey. I was proud of the beautiful soul she was, inside and out. The fact that she hadn't succumbed to societal expectations and chosen an outfit that reflected her genuine self filled me with happiness. I was happy that she didn't wear the bunny outfit that she teased me with.
As the audience dispersed, I made my way toward Elona, a smile playing on my lips. "You look absolutely stunning," I said, my eyes expressing a depth of admiration and affection. In this moment, surrounded by the echoes of my speech and the authenticity embodied by Elona, I felt an overwhelming sense of contentment.
"Mr Crane, that was an amazing speech," Mr Esau, the school's principal said to me, breaking our moment. "Elona, you look beautiful, outstanding, I may add," he smiled at her. He was older and partially bald, his glasses making him look even older.
"Thank you," Elona and I said in unison.
"Can I have a word with you for a moment?" He asked me. I felt him pat my back.
"Sure," I replied and glanced at Elona with a smile before stepping aside with Mr Esau.
"This is Miss Jennings. I believe that you both met before," he introduced us. Miss Jennings who is the school's secretary was smiling and I didn't want to be around her because of the type of woman that she is.
"Hi," she smiled all flirtatiously.
"We met, she helped me to fill in the form for my speech," I replied. I slipped my phone out of my pocket as I looked in Elona's direction. She was all alone as she scanned the crowd. Cris came with me, but I too wondered where she was. We haven't seen Spooky either. But I hope that he got my message to stay away. She smiled at me and I returned it. Her hazel eyes standing out from the lighting and her make-up. I turned my gaze away as Mr Esau and Miss Jennings were talking. I looked down at my phone and typed a quick text to Elona,
Me: Meet me at the Stern hotel in half an hour.
I glanced over at her, and she was looking down at her phone, a smile spreading on her face. Her gaze found mine as she looked at me. She nodded. I smiled in return. Before I was engaged in a conversation, I saw Cris standing with David, laughing. At least she was safe.
"Mr Crane, would you like to have drinks sometime? Some of the school staff will head out to the bar tonight, so if you want to join us then you are more than welcome," Miss Jennings said.
"We would love to have you join us," Mr Esau chimed in.
"I have other plans after this that cannot be cancelled," I smiled politely.
"That's a shame," Miss Jennings said with disappointment. "Maybe next time."
"If you will excuse me," I smiled and walked away from them.
Elona was no longer standing where she was. I scanned the crowd, but I didn't see her. I went to join Cris and David. Cris was dressed in formal attire for her future career in journalism. "Dad, that was an amazing speech," she smiled.
"Thanks. Where is Elona?" I asked.
"I saw her walk to the bathroom," Cris said. Well, that sucks. I cannot sneak into the bathroom and have my way with her. We cannot be caught.
So, I remained in my spot and waited for Elona. Except the more I waited, the more she didn't come back. I excused myself from Cris and David. I walked through the crowd again and searching for her, but she was not here. I went to the bathroom, but she was not there either. I took my phone out of my pocket and I texted her.
Me: Where are you?
My phone chimed almost immediately.
Elona: I'm on my way to the hotel. I told my dad that I needed some time alone in the park. He is okay with it.
I smiled as I read it.
Me: See you soon. I hope that you are ready for me.
Elona: Bring it on.
I shoved my phone back into my pants pocket. I walked over to David and Cris. "I have some work that I need to get done at the office. I will see you later." I told her.
"Of course," Cris replied with a faint smile.
I looked at David,. "Do you mind getting Cris home for me, please?" I asked.
"I don't mind at all. Don't work too hard," he said. I smiled and left.
If only they knew what my work would entail right now. I will be working hard on Elona, that is for sure. No interruptions. She was going to be all mine for the remainder of the day.
