Chapter 3 It was a good thing this was a tenth day with light duty. Floyd did not have to jump from his bunk into the cadets’ normal, hectic daily routine. One of his roommates had punishment duty and would be working KP today. One had already dropped out, and where the fourth one was, he had no idea. With nobody to observe what he did, he rolled over and grabbed an extra hour of sleep before he got up. By then, hunger gnawed, so he dressed quickly in civvies and made his way to the snack bar. Coffee was the first need, followed closely by something with calories and preferably sugar. As he walked toward the snack bar, Floyd glanced around.
