Chapter 2 The dark shape landed with a gut wrenching thud and when it raised its head to face them, Carter felt as though he was going to pass out. If he’d never felt terror before, he was certainly experiencing it now. The creature must have been seven-feet tall. It’s face, bat-like and snarling so every needle-sharp tooth was exposed, held Carter’s attention so completely that everything else around him seemed to fade to grey.
