My heart sank as the strange woman’s words sank in. She was the former partner of the alpha. How did Damian even date such a wretched woman?
A mixture of anger and concern surged within me. The pack had just suffered a devastating loss, and now this woman, with her possessive claims, threatened to disrupt the solemn mood I was in.
Summoning every ounce of courage, I stood my ground. "The alpha belongs to no one. He is the leader of this pack, and his responsibility is to protect and guide us all. Love should not be possessive, it should be selfless and supportive."
If she was not going to act like an actual human then I would teach her to do so.
