I halted before him as I flailed my arms helplessly before me.
“Why are you here?!” I yelled. “Why are you in my way?! Shouldn’t you be rallying the pack or something into protecting the pack?”
“I should,” he folded his arms tighter with his brows furrowing harder. “But I’m missing a soldier.”
“Did he go through here?”
“‘She’ is trying to run away from her duty. She is the cause of this battle and she is trying to leave us all to handle this while she runs to the wilderness to face off against rogues and the potential possibility of being killed off by rogue pack members as they might mistake you for a rogue.”
