Blade’s POV
The night was dark and filled with uncertainty as I sprinted through the desert, the sand kicking up in a frenzy behind me while I tried to evade them. My heart pounded in my chest, a mixture of adrenaline coursing through my veins. As an assassin with unparalleled agility and swiftness, why would anyone want to risk their lives to come after me?
It was strange, to say the least. I had always been able to evade my enemies effortlessly, leaving them in the dust as I disappeared into the night. But these wolves were different.
They were determined, unyielding in their pursuit. It was clear they had been sent by someone with influence, someone who wanted me dead.
