Daisy's POV
The next morning at breakfast, Avery and I decided to announce to the pack about having a BBQ tonight. This would be a celebration to officially introduce Alice to the pack. Every single person cheered and was excited about this. As we grabbed food from the buffet table, I decided to sit next to April, Avery's mother. She gave me a warm smile and greeted me with a good morning.
"Luna, could I speak with you in the garden after breakfast?" I ask of her.
"Of course my dear. And, please, call me April or mom." My heart clenched at that. I miss my mom so much. I wish she were still here to talk to and see. "Are you okay?" I wipe m y tear away and nod. "Yes, I was just thinking of my own mother."
