I narrowed my eyes, observing Vivian staring at me as if I was some insect that needs to be squashed, especially when she saw Nestor's hand entwined with mine. Then Naila revealed to me what Alpha Joseph did the day Vivian found her true mate. What kind of father does that to his only daughter? His response to elder Simon pulled me out of my thoughts.
