Maat’s POV
I left the office in a hurry, rushing for the bathroom.
‘Sweet love, do you need me there with you?’ Nestor mind-linked me.
‘No, I will be fine. I think it's something I ate this morning and I will lie down a bit.’ I replied while going into the bathroom. I crouched, lifting the toilet seat, and vomited everything I ate this morning, including the snacks I just had. I felt water dripping on my face and feeling lightheaded. I stood up, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand, and opened the basin tap, cleaning my face, and rinsing my mouth.
‘It's time.’ Naila whimpered.
‘What do you mean?’ I asked her in confusion, but instead of her answering, a portal opened and swallowed me. I screamed, feeling myself falling. I landed on what felt like grass. I groaned from pain
