Marigold Fawn's POV
I can't believe he is the same person I met 5 years ago on the streets. I remember how bad he looked with bruises and cuts all over his arms and face. His hair were messy and his clothes were ripped. I was young then and felt really bad for him so I went forward to help him but little did I know I would meet him 5 years later with him torturing me to death after I helped him.
I recognised him when I saw my necklace dangling from his neck. That necklace was very rare to find in this world. My father gifted it to me and I gave it to him as I thought it might help him in his life. I know it was my dad's gift to me but I believed that if we give, god will give us something in return, either spiritually or physically.
This man, he looked so different from what he was 5 years ago. He had a tall built body and looked so dangerous. I admit he is very handsome and when I say very handsome, I literally mean very handsome but I didn't care about that. He whipped me for no reason because he thought that bastard was my father. I winced as I moved a little leaning my head onto the head board of the bed. My back was burning in pain as I grit my teeth.
I needed to get out of here, this dude will kill me if I stay here any longer. I shouldn't have helped him 5 years ago, I was so stupid. If I knew this was going to happen after helping a stranger then I wouldn't ever have approached him. I cursed mentally as I slowly moved out of the bed gritting my teeth in pain. I looked around looking for a weapon to defend myself against this devil.
I walked towards the window and looked out of it. The window wasn't that high so I could jump and make a dash out of here. I didn't know where my phone was, it probably dropped out of my pocket when I got kidnapped.
I tried opening the window as quietly as possible, surprised that it actually opened. I smirked thinking the devil was stupid to leave the window unlocked. I slowly laid one leg over the window and climbed down from the pipe next to it. I jumped half way falling onto my back. I placed my hand over my mouth not to scream in pain as my back burned. I took a few deep breaths and got up from the ground. I was good at sports in school so I was a fast runner. I ran as fast as I could not knowing where I was heading too. I looked around as I ran and gasped as the area was massive.
The view behind me looked like a historical yet beautiful castle. I could hear yells behind me as the lights flashed on. My eyes widened realizing they knew I was missing. "FIND HER NOW AND BRING HER BACK TO ME, DON'T YOU DARE EVEN HURT HER" A voice shouted.
I quickly hid myself behind a wall. I saw men with flashlights as the ran all over the place trying to find me. I covered my mouth so they couldn't hear my heavy breathing. My heart pounded in fear as I heard one of the men's footsteps walking close to where I was hiding. I closed my eyes tightly not wanting to get captured again. After a few seconds I could hear silence making me take a deep breath. I slowly peeked out from the side of the wall and saw my view was clear. I looked around again just in case I don't get caught and ran out towards the woods but just when I was about to take off I heard a click behind me making me freeze.
I closed my eyes and sighed in defeat. I slowly turned around and saw a gun pointed towards me. The devil stood in front of me with a blank expression as he pointed the gun at my forehead. "Where do you think you are going dove?" he asked me with his dark cold voice. I rolled my eyes in frustration. "Home" I said in a duh tone making him chuckle. I looked at him confused while he lowered his gun.
"You are home" he said with a smirk making me glare at him. "Just let me go, what do you want from huh? after helping you is that what you give me back in return?" I said in anger and annoyance, tears flowing out of my eyes. I didn't want anything back from him in return but I detest him for what he did to me. His face softened when I said that and stalked towards me but I moved back making him freeze. He looked at me in hurt and said "I am so sorry for hurting you my dove, I'm sorry and I will do everything for you to forgive me" he softly this time.
I noticed a tear drop fall out of his eye but he wiped it off in a flash. "My name isn't dove, it's Marigold and if you really want me to forgive you then let me go" I said firmly. "Marigold" he whispered testing my name on his lips as I frown at him. "Such a beautiful name" he said giving me a small smile. This dude was bipolar and weird.
"Let me go" I said loudly. "NO" he shouted back making me jump. "You are not leaving me. I tried searching for you everywhere but I couldn't find you and now finally you are here in front of me, I will not let you go again" he said now standing in front of me.
I looked at him in shock. Why was he trying to find me, what the f**k?. "JUST LET ME GO YOU BASTARD" I shouted pushing him back but he didn't move, he was like a solid wall. I sighed and closed my eyes. I re-opened them and glared at him while he stared at my face with an unknown expression. I tried running past him but he grabbed me from my waist and hugged me from the back.
I trashed around screaming for him to let me go "LET ME GO, GET OFF ME" I shouted but he held my arms as he tightened his hold. "Shh calm down dove" he whispered into my neck making me shiver in disgust. I then felt a pinch on my neck making my vision blur. "W-what h-have you d-done?" I stuttered in weakness. "Sleep my love" he whispered as darkness took over me again.
