I'm startled awake by a strange noise that sounds oddly like a dog whining in agony. I furrow my brows, listening for the sound again, but it seems to have stopped. I shrug it off and turn over, pulling the covers up over my head. After a few seconds, I hear the same noise again. Is that really my stomach? I haven't eaten anything since I left the hospital yesterday. I haven't had time. The minute we got here, Sloan had a mental breakdown and then mauled me like a horny rabbit.
