After Uncle Nick finally told me the big secret he shared with Aunt Marie, I was so angry with them. How could they keep the truth from me for sixteen years? I get that they were trying to protect me, but it’s information about me and my mum, and I deserved to know.
‘We know now that’s what matters.’
‘I’m Sorry, Star, I’m just agitated. We always said no secrets; then it turns out they have been hiding the biggest one of all.’
‘Calm down, let’s go for a run, take a breather, and clear our minds… You need it. We both do.’
‘Your right. Let’s go.’
‘Don’t you think we should tell them we’re going out?’
