My eyes darted back and forth between Mitchell and my mother. I felt like my heart was in my throat as I bit my lip nervously, feeling both sets of eyes boring into me. Then I made my decision..I slowly reached out, placing my hand in Mitchell's as he let out a relieved sigh. I know this could be something that ends up biting me in the ass..and the look on my mother's face is confirming that thought exactly..but I just can't believe Mitchell has been lying to me. Maybe that makes me naive..but I have to follow my heart..I won't back down on this one.
