"Thanks again for stopping over." I said, hugging my parents goodbye as they made their way to the car. Levi and Xander were inside cleaning up, having already bid them farewell.
"I'm so glad we did!" My mom beamed. "It was so nice getting to meet your mates!"
"Her king mates." My dad laughed. "Wait until I tell Murphey about that, he won't have anything to top me with!"
"You two still trying to one up each other?" I asked, remembering the neighbor who lived across the street from them. He made everything a competition. From the size of his grill to the color of his grass and everything in between.
"Oh they sure are, and he has had us beat for a while now. His oldest has given him a grandpup already, but this will be checkmate." My mom laughed.
I shook my head and helped
