"He just needs a little time," Levi said with a heavy sigh.
I had to fight the vomit that wanted to escape as I watched Xander walk away. This was everything I had feared playing out before my very eyes in just a matter of minutes of Savannah showing up.
"Why don't we go inside, you should get some sleep." Levi said, tucking me in under his arm and helping me inside.
I nodded, fighting the burning lump forming in my throat as I went with Levi on autopilot. He wordlessly got me settled in bed first, then joined me under the covers, though I could tell it was just to comfort me, even though he himself seemed mad too. I felt awkward next to him. I knew he wasn't exactly pleased with me either. But I didn't want to hash it out with him, not right now anyway.
