Kimberly After the incident in the forest the previous night, I didn't see Kendrick nor hear his voice. Though Linda gave me news about him, I didn't see him for over two weeks. I was glad that I didn't get to meet him. Otherwise who knew what he'd do to me? Though, it was fun that night. It was so much fun that I couldn't believe that Kendrick could do all of that. I enjoyed it so much that it didn't feel bad asking to meet his wolf. I pictured the incident of the previous night in my head and for some reason I saw Kendrick in a different light. He didn't look like he was the same monster who was feared by everyone. "Is he back yet?" I decided to ask one evening as I stood by the window and watched the sun set. "Yes ma'am, my Lord is....." Linda paused and immediately covered her mouth. "What is it, Linda?" I asked as she dropped the tray and moved to leave. "Is there something you're not telling me?" I asked curiously. "No ma'am," she waved and faked a smile. In the past weeks, I had gotten to know Linda and I could tell right now that something was wrong. Linda was definitely hiding something. Could it be that Kendrick had been harmed. As silly as that sounded, I didn't know why that was the only thing that crossed my mind. I stood up and decided to go find out what was going on, but Linda stood by the door and stopped me immediately. "Please don't go ma'am," Linda stated pleadingly. "But why?" I was confused. "Master has... " Linda paused and seemed to contemplate if she should tell me or not. "Guest," She finally added. "A guest?" I frowned, surprised that the blood Lord had a guest visiting him. I mean Kendrick barely had visitors. He only meets with the councils and that only happens twice in a week. Plus, the council only visits during the day. Was there an emergency? Why would anyone visit at this time? I wondered as I looked at Linda to be sure that she wasn't lying to me. "Does Kendrick have a guest?" I repeated just to be sure that I heard right. "Yes ma'am," Linda nodded. "Who is it?" I queried, worried that something might be wrong. Linda opened her mouth and closed it, contemplating if she should tell me or not. "It's Angela, daughter of Alpha Joseph." I felt a sudden and strange stab in my chest as soon as I heard that. I didn't know why I felt that way, but a strange bitterness tasted in my mouth. "Angela?" I repeated. "Why is she meeting with the alpha at this hour?" Linda turned and immediately made to leave. She couldn't answer my question. I hurried forward and stood before her, leaving no room for escape. "You haven't answered my question." I crossed my arms and watched her closely. Linda's eyes looked everywhere but at me, assuring me that she was hiding something sure. "I don't know why she is visiting the master," Linda replied, obviously lying. "Really?" I raised her chin and made her look at me. "Yes ma'am, I really don't know." She repeated before scurrying off. I watched her run off and couldn't help but wonder what was going on. Why was Linda restless and unwilling to talk as soon as I asked about the guest with Kendrick. I've heard a lot about Alpha Joseph of Moonstone Pack. I knew he was a close aide of the blood Lord and would often be seen around him. However, I haven't seen or met him since I arrived here. Hence, I couldn't help but wonder why his daughter was here instead of him. Could she be running an errand for her father. I sat down and picked a novel to read. I was reading the novel when a thought suddenly crossed my mind. My eyes widened at the thought and the book fell out of my hand. Could it be..... No. I immediately dismissed the thought. Alpha Joseph was said to be his ally, so Kendrick wouldn't possibly harm his daughter.... would he? My curiosity was piqued and I became restless. Several thoughts crowded my head and I had no answer to it. Could it be that Angela was about to become one of Kendrick's victims? Was she about to become food for the blood Lord? What will Kendrick say to her father? How would he explain her death to her father? If Kendrick wouldn't spare Angela, daughter of his ally, then who would be spared from his bloodlust? I was a daughter of an ordinary alpha whose father badly needed Kendrick's help to revive his Pack, how could I expect him to be merciful towards me. Every thought I had on the possibility of being spared by Kendrick shattered into pieces. My mind conjured several images of Kendrick murdering and feeding on Angela. I couldn't help my curiosity. I got out of my room and slowly shut the door. Walking at the tip of my toes and making sure to make no sound at all, I made my way towards Kendrick's room. As I approached Kendrick's room, I heard struggles and a muffled sound. My heart wrenched and I thought to go back. However, my curiosity got the better of me, taking total control of me. I opened the door slowly, eyes closed as I dread the gory sight that waited me. Nevertheless, I was met by an unexpected turn of events that left my jaw hanging. Instead of her cries for help, Angela was happily moaning away as Kendrick grabbed her waist and thrusted into her. She swapped positions and pushed Kendrick on the bed before sitting on him. I watched in awe as she happily rode him. Kendrick laid motionless while she rode him and giggled happily as she did. It was obvious how much joy and pleasure she derived from what she was doing, yet I had foolishly thought she needed help. This was probably why Linda was hesitant to tell me what was happening. She knew all along. What was I even thinking? Slowly I made my way to leave but was unlucky to get caught by Kendrick. "Are you done gawking?" His voice startled me. My feet trembled like a child caught doing something terrible. I thought of what to say, but I knew I would only be disturbing their time by trying to explain. "Forgive my intrusion," I muttered as I walked towards the door with my back. "Carry on with your business."
