Elina's adoptive family stays a while longer, until Dr. Phillip returns and praises the mother for the excellent healing she did to her leg, which made her blush and her husband frowned slightly, approached her, and put a hand on her shoulder in a possessive gesture that looked almost funny, or so Elina seemed to think, because she was holding back her laughter seeing the whole exchange happen in front of her.
