I was smiling watching Alandra scarf the food down. It was a good thing I ordered a lot of food. I had wanted to make sure that she was eating her fill and wouldn't go to bed hungry.
I wasn't entirely sure what had happened to her, but it was obvious she was troubled. When she had called and told me someone was following her, my heart sank. Seeing her in that diner, felt like a breath of fresh air.
Truthfully, I was happy when she said she didn't want to go home. After Zanders murder and the information that Tatianna gave me, I needed comfort. I needed to be close to her to help me feel sane. There were too many things happening that I just couldn't wrap my head around.
