I was yet to spot any familiar faces of my pack’s allies in the sea of moving bodies. I knew our nearest ally in Kentucky, Alpha Jensen of Moon Meadows, would be unable to attend due to prior obligations. Alpha Hunter from White Leaf Moon, who once unknowingly saved my life, would be here tomorrow. Our west coast allies in Two Moons, Alphas Astennu and Badru, had a complicated history with our host pack’s former Alpha, Arlo, so it was no surprise they weren’t here. And Alpha Morgan from Ashen Star wanted as little focus on his mate as possible and rarely attended bigger meetings.
