Paige’s POV
I felt as if I was about to faint, but instead, a rush of adrenaline went through my body, giving me enough strength to release myself from the hold I was in and kicking as hard as I could towards the person in front of me.
“Wow, easy there!” a familiar voice complained.
“Connor?” I asked shocked and out of breath. “What the hell are you doing here?” I hissed holding my hand over my heart, afraid that it would actually fall out of my chest.
“I couldn’t sleep,” he shrugged. “So, I decided to take a walk,” he said while eyeing me.
"And you just happened to be in the same place as me?" I questioned feeling uncomfortable by his presence. “What?” I asked as he raised his right brow at me.
“Are you seriously asking me that when you are the one out running now?” he asked
