I’m sure I didn’t hit my head, so why does it hurt?

There are all these white scenes flashing through my head. None makes sense.

When I opened my eyes, a man shows up in my line of sight.

“How are you feeling?” He asked.

“What happened? Is this a hospital?” I have no strength to get up.

“Yes. You saved my nephew. Still, the truck hit you on the shoulder.” That must be the pain I’m feeling on my left side.

“Will you pay the bills?” Yeah, trust me to be rational in these situations. Hey, I saved his nephew. I think that’s fair trade.

“Yes, of course. Don’t worry about it.” Good, I decided I need to go back to sleep. My head still hurts.

A/N: Hello, this is going to be a free book for readers. It's a completed story, but I have scheduled the updates. This is the original version which uses the first person POV of the characters. I do plan to make a revised version using the third person POV. For now, this is it. Let me know what you think. Reading comments from readers do push us forward.
